Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor Update

Three Days - 24 hours

Team shooting drillThis course is for those who have been designated by their agency to work on their firearms training team. We start with a review of fundamentals and how they apply to the physics of weapon operation, the physiology of the human body, and the psychological aspects of a high stress environment. The course rapidly progresses from teaching, coaching, and remediation techniques, to training for high stress situations.

Training Includes...

  • The fundamentals as they apply to combat shooting
  • Coaching and remediating struggling / new shooters
  • Use of cover and shooting on the move
  • Low light training
  • Disabled and injured officer training
  • Aggressive shooting techniques for Counter Ambush
  • How to safety and run high risk firearms training


Course pre-requisites:
currently designated as a firearms instructor by a law enforcement agency or US military.

Required equipment

Range / duty uniform, body armor, ball cap, ballistic eye protection, hearing protection, duty belt, hand held flashlight, handgun with 3 magazines, patrol rifle with sling and 3 magazines, 1000 rounds pistol ammunition, 500 rounds rifle ammunition, notebook with pen.

An instructor demonstrating a combat exerciseAdditional Recomendations: Spare flash light, weapon mounted light, knee / elbow pads, water, snacks, camp chair, sunscreen, shooting gloves if worn on duty.
